Frequently asked questions

If you have a query to which you cannot find an answer in the relevant section of our website, firstly we would advise checking the FAQs section.

This contains the most common questions we receive, and you may find an answer there.

Applicants' guide

Our applicants' guide acts as a quick guide to the recruitment process, and is a useful starting place for learning how the IMT recruitment process works.

This can be found in the document library.

PGMDE support portal - PSP

Should you be unable to locate an answer on the website, you are welcome to submit a query to the Physician Specialty Recruitment Office (PSRO) helpdesk.

The PSRO helpdesk is staffed from 9am to 5 pm every (working) weekday, and we aim to respond to all queries within a maximum of three working days. We usually respond more quickly than this, especially in relation to enquiries about completing the application form during application windows or where an answer is needed in relation to making decisions on a submitted application, so applicants with more urgent enquiries can usually expect a reply within a shorter time frame.

Our helpdesk will only accept and respond to queries sent via PSP.

This is so that all queries can be responded to chronologically, i.e. in the order in which they were received. Using PSP also allows both candidates and the helpdesk to give clear explanations of queries and have a record of what was said.
